On the Trail

You may proceed on the trail about 3 miles to P2 Homestead Trailhead or go on an additional 1.75 miles to P3 Tompkins Bend Trailhead. 

 Note the Sunset Vista spur about .5 miles into the trail

Direction to the Trailhead

Go east from Mount Ida about 9 miles or west from Hot Springs about 25 miles on U.S. Highway 270  to Shangri La Rd.  You can’t miss the Shangri La Resort sign on 270.  Turn north onto Shangri La Rd. and go one block to Old Highway 270.  Turn left onto Old Highway 270 and go approximately .5 miles to where the road terminates at the lakeshore. 

The Denby Bay Trailhead is located at this parking area.
